According to Heise Security, Leopard(OS X 10.5) seems to have some critical faults in its built-in firewall. After a fresh installation, the user should activate the firewall him/herself. If you configure your fw correctly in Tiger and upgrading to Leopard, you have to activate it allover again. The weirdest thing is even after disallowing all incoming connections using the regular user interface, it is still possible to access some services such as NetBIOS Naming Service.
If you recently installed Leopard on your Mac, make sure to activate the firewall. If you don’t feel safe enough, consider installing a third party firewall application.

So far, majority of the users are happy about their purchase and pleased to see improvements made to the new version. However, there are also couple of others complaining about errors popped up, mostly when upgrading from Tiger. It is very tempting to give it a try but I might as well wait a few months before purchasing my own copy.
